Welcome
to my website.
This is a one-man firm with me, Arvid Søvik, as the
manager.
I will give you some information of what I do, and where you
can find me.
It
consists of two parts, a musical part, and a craft part.
The musical part is a one man dance band. For foreighners
and
tourists this is not so interesting.
So I'll tell you a little about the craft part.
I make many different wooden things, many of them in turning
lathe.
This could be boxes, bowls, vases, goblets, plates, door signs,
clocks and lots of other things.
Some of them I keep in natural wood.
Other pieces I decorate, mostly with rosepainting, but it
can also be pyrography or carving.
This will be things for different occasions, like gifts or
souvenirs.
Please
take a look at gallery Produkter
rosemalte and Produkter trehvite,
which means Rosepainted products and
natural wood products.
Please visite my site for woodworking and decoration www.mamut.net/TrekunstogDekorasjon
Where
to find me.
I live in a place called Lysekloster, about 26 km
south of Bergen City, near Lysøen
where the home of the late famous violinist Ole Bull is located.
The distance from the place where the boat can take you over
to Ole Bull's villa and to my house is 2 km.
The
easiest way to contact me if you are planning to go to the
Bergen area, is to first send me an e-mail, and when you arrive
here, give me a call and I'll explain how to get here.
If you are staying at one of the two hotels near by me, Solstrand
Fjord Hotell or Bjørnefjorden
Gjestetun, it is possible for me to meet you there.
Anyway,
if you are interrested in what I do or not, please visit my
site "pictures from
Lysekloster an neighbourhood" so you can take a look
at the fantastic scenery we have here. You can walk by foot
into the forest, or use your bicycle on the roads around here.
You may also visit the remains of a cisterciencer monastery
which was built in 1146.
Please take a look at the pictures and have a good time enjoying
them!
